Software testing platform vendor LambdaTest has unveiled mobile and cross-browser capabilities, including for iPhone testing.
Salman Khan, product marketing manager at LambdaTest, said that updates include the ability to test on iPhone 16 Series devices, Smart Ignore in SmartUI and more.
In iPhone 16 testing, devs can check how their mobile application works across different browsers, he said.
“With Smart Ignore in SmartUI, visual testing is more efficient. This allows focus on meaningful content changes and reducing false positives,” Khan wrote via their blog.
“We have also added the latest macOS Sequoia for cross browser testing.”
Other new capabilities include live testing with Android 15 on Google Pixel Emulators and testing of mobile accessibility on Android with a new Screen Reader feature.
In addition were new features in its Test Manager and HyperExecute, Khan said.
HyperExecute is a LambdaTest test orchestration cloud platform. Test Manager is a test management, triggering and reporting tool from the vendor.
Easing earlier testing
Dev teams could also test on different iPhone 16 screen sizes. This should help ensure interfaces work as intended on each model.
“Evaluate how your native apps perform on these devices. By testing early, you can catch and fix performance issues,” Khan said.
With LambdaTest, it’s possible to test mobile apps on some 5000 different devices, the vendor said.
Using emulators, as with Google Pixel, makes testing of security, interface and performance possible without access to the physical device, he pointed out.
“With Android 15 introducing changes to permissions and UI elements, it’s important to start testing your mobile applications early,” Khan wrote.
