Three OpenText accolades to power ITSM and intelligent content management

OpenText gained three industry nods for its IT services and intelligent content management (ITSM and ICM) solutions ahead of its devsecops summit this week.

First off, IDC named the vendor a leader for worldwide intelligent content services. IDC’s MarketScape: Worldwide Intelligent Content Services 2024 assessment examines intelligent content services solutions with interoperability, automation, and AI.

“[OpenText] capabilities include intelligent document processing (IDP), process automation, information archiving, security and governance, business integrations, and solutions for industries and lines of business,” the report said.

“The composability of the Content Cloud allows OpenText customers to tailor technology solutions that fit their needs and growth strategies.”

Secondly, the US’s Federal Risk and Authorisation Management Program (FedRAMP) organisation authorised the OpenText IT Management Platform for government compliant and secure cloud solutions provision.

Need for secure, authorised public-sector ITSM

Muhi Majzoub, chief product officer at OpenText, said: “Availability of FedRAMP authorised solutions validates our commitment to helping US government agencies digitally transform how they work.”

According to OpenText, the public sector often has older legacy IT that struggles to meet high service demands and expectations within resource and budget constraints.

OpenText’s platform incorporates services management automation, asset management, universal discovery, and project and portfolio management, the vendor said.

“According to a Forrester survey, 78% of public sector organisations consider ITSM solutions crucial,” it said. “Advanced ITSM helps streamline operations, reduce downtime, and enhance the overall effectiveness of IT systems by providing structured frameworks for managing incidents, problems, and changes.”

Smarter devops, services, content management and AI

Additionally, Time magazine named the vendor one of the world’s best companies for the second year in a row.

“The award by TIME and Statista identifies top performing companies across the globe based on employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability (ESG),” according to the related press release.

The vendor followed up a digital summit on AI and business analytics with its devsecops virtual summit on 24 September. A focus was securing the development lifecycle, using devsecops and AI to speed up software delivery and quality, the vendor said.

For example, causal reasoning software can help devops teams diagnose and triage problems in software, and automation can help remediate issues faster.
