TeamViewer digital platforms praised for connecting workers

Germany-headquartered TeamViewer has been named to the PAC Innovation Radar list of leaders in open digital platforms for connecting workers.

PAC analysts named TeamViewer’s Frontline augmented reality (AR) solution for industrial workers “best in class”. They also praised the vendor’s “market-leading strategic partnerships”.

Arnold Vogt, head of digital and IoT at Germany-based consultancy PAC, said the vendor focused on “the most relevant use cases and strategic partnership”, resulting in resilience and growth readiness.

“While the market for connected-worker platforms is going through a consolidation phase, it turns out that TeamViewer has moved into a market-leading position,” Vogt said in the announcement.

PAC analysts said TeamViewer was particularly strong in tasks such as manual order picking with smart glasses and other wearable devices. The Frontline platform offered step-by-step instructions, visual guidance, and remote expert support.

“It enables enterprises to modernise their desk-less workforces, streamline operations, improve efficiency, and remain competitive in an increasingly digital world,” they said.

TeamViewer was also partnering leading software houses from Siemens to SAP.

Implementations included digitalisation of warehouse processes at Nadro in Mexico, where TeamViewer’s vision-picking solution integrated with SAP Extended Warehouse Management.

This has made a “tangible impact” at Nadro, according to the vendor.

“Furthermore, the recent integration with Manhattan Associates’ warehouse management solution and a joint go-to-market strategy with Deloitte highlights TeamViewer’s commitment to expanding its ecosystem,” TeamViewer added.

TeamViewer offers various digital platform solutions for connecting workers across different environments including remote sites, from Frontline to enterprise-focused Tensor.

Its connectivity platforms can remotely access, control, manage, monitor, and repair devices from laptops and mobile phones to industrial machines and robots.
