Outdoor advertising company Electra-Media has implemented TeamViewer for secure remote access and support for customers of its digital display offerings.
Christy McEwen, director of digital media at US-based Electra-Media, Inc (EMI), said TeamViewer allows the firm to better manage resources and focus on creating revenue driving campaigns, collaborating with clients and facilitating new business, reducing time maintaining software.
“Working quickly and efficiently to resolve an issue with our signs is critical to ensure we meet contractual obligations with our clients,” McEwen said in a TeamViewer customer study.
TeamViewer’s remote access and support application is used both to connect to and manage digital signs and advertisements. With the TeamViewer offering, technicians can access, troubleshoot, and programme its digital signage from anywhere, at any time.
Additionally, customers can easily be provided with accurate information on the sign’s performance for each campaign in real time. Previously, a technician would have to travel to the site to fix issues, taking some four hours and “four figures” of cost per issue, according to the company.
As a result, technicians can focus instead on hardware issues that require expert maintenance, and Electra-Media was able to restructure operations with a focus on remote teams and expansion into other US states, it said.
TeamViewer, headquartered in Goppingen, Germany, has been recognised with a triple-A rating for the Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) features of its remote connectivity and workplace digitisation approach for 2022.
“With this updated score, TeamViewer is in the top eight percent of global companies in the software and services industry,” according to the vendor.
“The report analyses the business practices related to the three main ESG pillars of organisations, giving each area a score from 0 to 10. TeamViewer received 6.0 for its environmental efforts, 5.8 for social aspects, and 8.0 for its governance practices.”
The latest score positioned TeamViewer into the “highest scoring range” for its governance efforts, it said, and improves on its 2021 AA rating.
The score was given by MSCI ESG Research, which says it analyses the environmental, social and governance-related business practices of thousands of companies worldwide with a view to identifying overlooked investment opportunities.
AAA represents an ESG leader, and CCC a laggard, the company said. Organisations are compared for their ability to manage industry-specific ESG risks, including human capital development, clean tech opportunities, carbon emissions, privacy and data security, and governance.
