Paessler has made its monitoring-as-a-service offering PRTG Hosted Monitor available worldwide and to the Paessler channel.
Helmut Binder, chief executive at Paessler, said that PRTG Hosted Monitor can shrink the typical burden of monitoring on network administrators.
“Technology environments are under immense pressure. External factors are changing daily, and IT, OT and IoT infrastructure needs to be as agile as employees when it comes to the services they offer,” Binder said in the announcement.
New for 2022, PRTG Hosted Monitor is now available across EMEA, APAC and the Americas and through Paessler’s channel partners.
PRTG Hosted Monitor, based on PRTG Network Monitor, has 250 predefined sensors and also comes with flexible deployment, licensing and financing options, he said.
“Paessler PRTG provides IT managers with all the information they need to ensure reliability and function for their infrastructure and network,” Binder added.
Sascha Neumeier, writing for Paessler, said the first version was launched in 2017 as “PRTG on demand” and has been developed based on “an incredible amount of helpful feedback” from users and customers.
“With PRTG Hosted Monitor, you get an all-in-one SaaS monitoring solution for your entire IT infrastructure. We host the solution for you on reliable AWS servers, and constant backups are a given,” he said.
“The setup is quick and straightforward, and you don’t need dedicated server hardware. PRTG Hosted Monitor is agentless, and you can start monitoring from your browser right away.”
Users only need pay for what they need, with different monthly or annually paid-for sensor plans available, monthly or annually. Worldwide hosting means lower latency, Neumeier pointed out.
“All tasks around the management of your monitoring system are offloaded to us. We automatically install the latest updates and will take care of the day-to-day operations,” he said.
