Virtual whiteboard software vendor Miro has unveiled more collaborative tools for keeping remote teams connected.
Christina Sri, content marketing manager at Miro, said the new tools include Smart Meeting, with AI-powered clustering aimed at improving collaboration and online meetings.
“After nearly two years of remote work, we’ve seen organisations struggle to lead effective meetings, create a collaborative environment that suits different learning styles, and keep teams focused, on track, and productive,” Sri said.
The Miro Smart Meetings toolset is currently available on beta for all paid plans and edu plans, with templates for meeting organisers, pre-prepared meeting agendas that pull information from board content and add options like breakouts and voting, and new customisations.
“Miro Business and Enterprise plan users will also have access to Miro Smart Diagramming, which includes advanced shape packs for AWS, Azure, Cisco, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and VMware—plus popular methodologies like Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and Data Flow Diagrams,” Sri said.
Consultant and Business Plan users will now be able to add unlimited external guests with edit access to specific boards via email invitation. These guests will be visible in the account, easing collaboration and confidentiality concerns, she adds.
In addition, a new Clustering tool available on all paid plans in 2022 uses AI and machine learning to make sense of inputs and automatically collate ideas from a brainstorming session.
“Beyond meetings, Clustering can help organise all kinds of information, whether you’re doing research or just trying to make sense of your own thoughts,” Sri pointed out.
Another new feature is Stickers, enabling users to label inputs and react to others, helping improve communications and engagement, she suggested.
