Cross-platform software testing provider Browserstack has added capabilities across another two browsers — Opera 78 and 79 Dev — adding to some 3000 desktop browsers already supported.
According to Opera’s Jørgen Arnesen, Opera has been downloaded one billion times on Google Play, and has a growing base of hundreds of millions of monthly active users.
“Opera offers users around the world a range of products and services that include PC and mobile browsers, the AI-powered newsreader Opera News, and recently launched fintech and classifieds apps,” Arnesen said via the Norwegian company’s blog.
In other news, BrowserStack was named to the Forbes 2021 Cloud 100 list, promoted as a “definitive ranking” of the top 100 private cloud-computing companies.
Ritesh Arora, co-founder and chief executive of BrowserStack, said the cloud revolution had been fundamental to BrowserStack’s growth.
“Our platform helps over 50,000 developer and QA teams deliver quality software at speed by moving testing to our cloud,” Arora said in the announcement.
Forbes’ evaluation process ranked firms for market leadership, estimated valuation, operating metrics, and culture. A judging panel for the market leadership criterion comprises 34 public cloud CEOs.
BrowserStack’s 15 datacentres worldwide support some two million software tests a day, according to the vendor. Customers include Microsoft, Twitter, Barclays and Expedia.
