Cloud-native app, enhanced visibility and control for user identities in Delinea

Delinea has boosted visibility and control in the cloud for its user identities management technologies as well as launching a platform app.

Phil Calvin, chief product officer at Delinea. said the moves should help drive agility. In addition, enhancements would improve prevention of unauthorised access yet streamline credential management.

“We’re constantly innovating to make it even easier to secure all identities,” Calvin said.

Organisations have made identity security a top priority within IT budgets, according to Delinea. Its vendor survey reports that 78% of respondents plan to spend more on identity security in 2025.

Findings suggest broad approaches that add intelligent authorisation, entitlements, governance, PAM and other key elements to authentication management.

“Enterprises today are facing a different kind of identity crisis in the age of AI,” Calvin said.

“They must now contend with an explosion of human and non-human identities to manage and provision.”

At the same time, attackers increasingly target identity security, the vendor said.

In the latest announcement, Delinea added control and visibility focused capabilities to its cloud-native platform and is launching a Delinea Platform mobile app.

Features include credential and password support for workforce and business users, intelligent identity lifecycle management and behavioural analytics spanning all identity types.

Additionally, with the app for iOS and Android devices, administrators could manage access from anywhere.

Complexity of user identities on the rise

Jeremy Weiss, an executive security strategist at US solutions provider CDW, was also quoted in the announcement.

“The complexity of managing digital identities is only increasing, and organisations must overcome mounting challenges related to security visibility, access control, and automation,” Weiss said.

For example, Delinea credential management aims to centralise, simplify and secure user credentials. Admins also gain unified access control and real-time visibility of all identities, the vendor said.

Also, its identity lifecycle management (ILM) offers easy on- and off- boarding automation, it said.

Meanwhile, the new Platform Analytics detects deviations and triggers customised actions to address abnormal activity, Delinea added.

In 2024 Delinea was recognised in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for its privileged access management (PAM) solutions for a sixth consecutive year.
