Human risk management makes Hornetsecurity company of year

Analyst firm Frost & Sullivan has named Hornetsecurity its 2025 EMEA company of the year for human risk management (HRM) platforms.

Claudio Stahnke, industry analyst at Frost & Sullivan, praised the cybersecurity company.

“Hornetsecurity places customer satisfaction at the forefront of its approach,” Stahnke said.

Additionally, organisations reported “high levels of satisfaction” with Hornetsecurity’s HRM. This was thanks to its ease of use, minimal administrative requirements, and automated phishing simulation campaigns, he said.

Hornetsecurity has continuously adapted to emerging trends and threats, according to Frost & Sullivan analysis.

As a result, Hornetsecurity HRM had integrated an AI-powered security awareness service. This delivered continuous, automated training on cybersecurity.

Additionally, the training was tailored to individual user behaviours and risk profiles, the same announcement said. Common HRM challenges include user fatigue and low engagement with tech requirements.

For example, Hornetsecurity offered “continuous content adjustment” based on user cybersecurity performance, as well as phishing simulations and dynamic, on-demand micro-training sessions.

“The AI-driven user profiling engine adjusts the frequency, difficulty, and content of training to match need,” it said.

End user customers in EMEA trust Hornetsecurity HRM, partly because it is easy to use, it added.

Human risk management – a moving target

The vendor’s parallel announcement added that it had gone through a “rigorous analytical process” to win. Frost & Sullivan had evaluated multiple nominees in various categories.

Criteria included how the vendor worked to address emerging needs. They also considered mega-trends, customer service experience, price versus performance, and more.

The Security Awareness Service’s employee security index tracks and evaluates user progress in real time. The platform’s security hub centralises access to resources.

The service is integrated with Hornetsecurity’s email security, data loss prevention (DLP), backup, governance, risk and compliance offerings, Hornetsecurity said.

Daniel Hofmann, chief executive of Hornetsecurity, said: “Our single platform approach provides a comprehensive suite of solutions for Microsoft 365 via one convenient, central platform.

Customers and partners, including managed services providers (MSPs), benefit from multi-layered defences. At the same time, organisations can manage employee security awareness alongside cybersecurity needs, the vendor suggested.
