CloudM cloud data tool Automate adds offboarding flexibility

Google and Microsoft cloud data management company CloudM has rolled out another update of its Automate onboarding tool with new offboarding functionality.

The UK-based software vendor’s latest version of CloudM Automate is v 2.15. It includes flexible and repeatable offboarding steps. There’s also a new offboarding trigger.

Consequently, users benefit from drag-and-drop offboarding, CloudM said.

“You now have complete flexibility to customise your workflows by arranging steps in whichever order you like and repeating them within the workflow,” the vendor said.

This would help when moving users between departments and access rights, CloudM noted.

“This requirement may have previously resulted in additional manual work. It can now be fully automated to save time and reduce the risk for human error.”

CloudM also offers CloudM Migrate, CloudM Backup and CloudM Archive.

For example, CloudM Archive allows organisations to bulk migrate or automatically archive the data of employees leaving the company. Archiving data in cloud storage can save money and help maintain compliance, CloudM pointed out on its website.

“Our modules for [cloud] data archiving, backup, automation and email signatures are built on the same platform as our trusted migration tool,” the vendor said.

Migrate cloud data with CloudM

CloudM Migrate went to version 4 in October.

Shaun Richards, product manager for CloudM Migrate, said it’s “a significant step up” for its cloud data migration.

“The conceptual change from configurations to projects and batches unlocks a host of opportunities to manage migrations more efficiently,” Richards said at the time.

Founded in 2008, the company boasts 45,000 customers and 80 million migrations.

“We are ISO 27001 certified, and follow the latest NCSC Cloud Security Principles. We also carry out pen tests and apply secure coding practices in our product development,” CloudM said.
