Configuring and resets to manage Windows updates can be eased network-wide with Automox worklets.
Organisations can update and patch operating systems with a Reset Windows Update Settings worklet, the vendor said.
“Over time, the Windows Update components on your system can become corrupted or misconfigured,” said Automox via its website.
“This can result in failed updates, error messages, or the inability to install new updates.”
Automox said that a reset can be needed. The vendor has a PowerShell worklet that helps fix these component-related problems by restoring default settings.
Consequently, sysadmins could resolve common issues such as update failures, error codes, slow update downloads, or stuck update installations.
“You can also repair corrupted system files and fix Windows update errors,” said Automox.
The script can be run manually or with an evaluation code.
“It will configure the services and registry keys related to Windows Update for default settings. It will also clean up files related to Windows Update.”
Manage Windows updates and endpoints
This is important. To manage Windows updates can enhance security and performance. Fixes and reboots can be notified according to designated time frames, it added.
Windows updates often include security fixes, bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features, the vendor noted.
Another worklet enables restarts if required.
Endpoint management platform vendor Automox was named TrustRadius Buyer’s Choice for its capabilities.
According to the vendor, TrustRadius offers “vetted, unbiased reviews”.
“Buyer’s Choice Awards are based entirely on vetted, unbiased customer reviews and have been selected as having the best capabilities, value for price, and customer relationships,” it said.
Reviewers were asked if offerings lived up to expectations and if they would buy them again, Automox said.
