Texthelp inspires with Read&Write in global workplace list

Workplace inclusion software vendor Texthelp – maker of literacy tool Read&Write – has been named to a top-100 list of inspiring workplaces worldwide.

Matt Manners, founder of list-maker the Inspiring Workplaces Group, congratulated the winners, which hailed from different continents including Asia.

“There is a clear and global desire to put people first being led by the private sector,” Manners said in the announcement. “Recognising these inspiring workplaces and their dedicated employees is a crucial step.”

Antrim-based Texthelp was also named in the UK and Ireland top 50 and listed as Best Medium Business and runner-up in the Top 50 Overall Inspiring Workplaces ranking earlier in 2024.

“At the heart of our mission to build an inclusive future for all is Read&Write, our flagship product that has positively impacted the lives of over 50 million individuals,” the vendor said.

“Through Read&Write, we help individuals of all abilities, including neurodivergent employees and those with disabilities and multilingual backgrounds, to achieve.”

Texthelp tools like Read&Write are aimed at making it easier to communicate with text. The literacy tool is a Chrome extension that helps users work with documents such as Word or Google Workplace.

The software can “read” highlighted text out loud, for example, change the screen view to make text easier to read, open up dictionary or image-based assistance, or correct written expression.

Additionally, Texthelp has other accessibility-focused offerings such as web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) focused ReachDeck, maths-based Equatio and e-note taker OrbitNote that work alongside platforms such as Microsoft 365 or G-suite in classrooms or workplaces.
