M365 security vendor Hornetsecurity wins Frost & Sullivan prize

Hornetsecurity has won an EMEA company of the year award from global markets analyst Frost & Sullivan – attracting recognition for its cloud-based security, backup and compliance offering for business email.

Sarah Pavlak, industry principal at Frost & Sullivan, said in the announcement that the vendor’s “key launches” over the past three years lent weight to its expansion and market leadership.

“Hornetsecurity has a proven focus on mega-trends, customer concerns, and keeping its products up to date on the latest emerging threats by quickly adding enhanced protection capabilities to its security suite,” Pavlak said.

The award was made concluding Frost & Sullivan’s recent analysis of the email security industry, with Hornetsecurity email security representing a “highly differentiated” suite targeting Microsoft 365 (M365) customers, according to the vendor.

Daniel Hofmann, chief executive at Hornetsecurity, said its goal is to provide the most comprehensive suite of security, compliance, awareness and backup solutions.

“This award shows we are on the right track,” Hofmann said.

Hornetsecurity offerings include a platform with a multi-tenant control panel, email live tracking and threat live tracking capabilities, malicious document decryption and ex-post-deletion features, supported by its own R&D and security lab, the vendor said.

Its flagship product, 365 Total Protection, is intended as the “most comprehensive cloud security solution for M365 on the market”.

Packages include 365 Total Protection Business, 365 Total Protection Enterprise, 365 Total Protection Enterprise Backup and 365 Total Protection Compliance and Awareness.

Hornetsecurity said that Frost & Sullivan‘s annual company of the year gong is given for organisations that demonstrate excellence in growth strategy and implementation in its field, as well as assessing product and technology innovation, customer value and market penetration.
