Google Cloud recognised visual workspace application company Miro among its global technology partner stars at the cloud giant’s annual awards.
Andrew Edelman, head of partnerships at Miro, said its partnership with Google had seamlessly enabled Miro throughout Google Workspace, delivering interconnectedness and efficiency for customers.
“Our journey with Google Cloud is one of mutual innovation and shared vision, as we strive to push the boundaries of what’s possible in collaborative technology,” he said in the announcement.
“The feedback from our user community has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing our commitment to this partnership and the continuous evolution of our integrated solutions.”
Miro partnered Google Workspace in 2021 to advance virtual collaboration capabilities through the latter platform.
This year Miro was awarded a Google Cloud Technology Partner of the Year Award 2024 for innovation in Productivity and Collaboration, a nod to its Google Workspace integrations.
The integrations include the ability to attach Miro boards to Google Calendar events, open Miro boards from Google Meet, and edit Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides while working in Miro, the vendor said.
The partnership resulted in several product launches in the previous year, including the Miro app for Google Meet all-in-one devices, the ability to launch Miro directly from Google Meet Series One Board 65 and Desk 27 devices, and functionality for Jamboard migration, it said.
Miro won one of 30 Google tech partner awards for 2024, including the likes of DataDog for application development and cloud operations, GitLab for application development and devops, Palo Alto for security and identity protection at endpoints, NetApp for storage, Nvidia for compute and generative AI, Broadcom for networking, and others.
“Google Cloud’s Partner Awards celebrate the transformative impact and value that partners have delivered for customers,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, corporate vice president for global ecosystem and channels at Google Cloud, in the released statement.
Miro offers about 130 integrations with various other tools, with a view to making it easier to collaborate and manage projects and ideas with one platform.
According to the vendor, six “bundles of capabilities” cover off requirements for product development and workflows, diagramming and process mapping, workshops and asynchronous collaborative efforts, AI, content and data visualisation, and visual project management.
