LastPass unveils compliance centre with Drata integration for status indicators

Password management company LastPass has launched a compliance centre that will help customers and partners seeking security assurance information that’s up to the minute.

Mario Platt, vice president of information security at LastPass, indicated that system statuses would be continually updated in the LastPass Compliance Center, with security certifications and compliance documentation readily downloaded.

“We have always worked to provide customers and partners with the information they need when they need it. With this publicly available hub, access to vital compliance information is more accessible,” Platt said in the announcement.

“It underscores our commitment to transparency.”

The LastPass Compliance Center is supported by a Drata security and compliance automation platform that is integrated with the LastPass Trust Center at LastPass.com, according to the announcement.

Drata enables thousands of organisations to streamline over 25 compliance frameworks through continuous, automated control monitoring and evidence collection,” it said.

Status indicators will display for LastPass security systems including app security, data security, network security, organisation security and product security, as well as offering reports, policies, certifications, and more, the vendor said.

Regulatory compliance is a growing concern against a backdrop of increased and ever-changing cyber threat. Deloitte has reported that many organisations may need to develop more compliance monitoring and assurance, including providing stakeholders with information.

According to an article in Forbes, a strong focus on compliance can be critical to business relationships and growth.

“A good compliance programme won’t just help you avoid legal trouble; it will help you create consistency within your business operations, while also defining the how and why of your business practices,” the article said.
