Filewave has released version 15 of its FileWave Management Suite with an array of enhancements set to streamline the cross-OS mobile management platform while expanding functionality and features.
According to the vendor, version 15 is one of its “most important to date”.
“Core updates include the streamlining of the native and web-based applications, improvements to the licensing features and the duplication of profiles. Version 15 also includes entirely new feature solutions like a bottom bar in FileWave Anywhere and support for Apple’s 2023 Spring release,” the company announced.
FileWave v.15 includes security fixes, translation support and a new NATs management dashboard, among other changes, including full implementation of the Deployments approach to managing filesets, expected to eventually replace Associations.
The update also introduces imaging support, and the ability to take actions directly from reports, streamlining the process of identifying issues or anomalies with a view to faster resolution, installation and configuration.
Also in FileWave 15 is the ability to set a default tracking state, making it easier to manage new devices as they are added to a network.
FileWave offers support for multiple operating systems, including macOS, Windows, iOS, iPadOS, and Android. The idea is that it combines unified endpoint management from one console with enterprise-grade mobility management for device security, whether desktops, mobile phones, wearables or BYOD at the edge.
The news follows FileWave’s September 2022 announcement of a new programme supporting EMEA channel partners, including MSPs.
