E-learning provider CBT Nuggets has announced new courses for 2021 including Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Juniper JNCIS-SP: Service Provider Routing and Switching Specialist (JN0-362) qualifications.
With the BBC reporting predictions from the Learning and Work Institute of a continued IT skills shortage, businesses and consumers alike will be looking to train up and benefit from emerging job opportunities.
Stephen Evans, chief executive of the Learning and Work Institute, said the so-called 2007-09 Great Recession had been followed by a Great Stagnation in economic growth, holding back living standards and limiting the money available for public services.
“This is neither inevitable nor unavoidable. Seismic shifts in the global economy, driven by advances in technology, create huge opportunities. Making the most of them will require a world class skills base,” he confirmed.
According to the Learning and Work Institute, businesses are facing challenges due to an aging population and the rise of automation and AI — suggesting development of higher level skills is needed.
IT and digital project management is one speciality where qualified staff can be in short supply. According to CBT Nuggets, the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is an industry-standard certification that will help people enter project management.
“[Our] course is designed to help assist those pursuing CAPM certification, as many of the videos map to exam objectives… 113-video, entry-level training covers topics including schedule management; scope management; cost management; risk management and more.”
The second new training for March 2021, the Juniper JNCIS-SP: Service Provider Routing and Switching Specialist (JN0-362) certification, is a course aimed at networking admins who want to learn advanced tactics and approaches for configuring Juniper networks, especially in service-provider environments.
“[It] maps to the exam objectives for the JN0-362 exam, which must be passed to earn the first of Juniper’s three service-provider network administration certifications: Juniper Networks Certified Specialist: Service Provider.”
