Productivity across processes has been rising at Roche Diagnostics since the healthcare technology provider began running its customer implementation project management operation on Smartsheet.
“We’re actually managing 30% more projects with the same number of project managers as we were before we implemented Smartsheet,” reports Michael Ghrist, IT account manager for commercial operations at Roche.
Roche teams develop and implement innovative medical technologies that ultimately help healthcare providers assist millions of patients worldwide. The North American-headquartered firm has more than 10,000 employees involved in a range of sophisticated and complex projects and programmes.
Adopting the Smartsheet platform has saved Roche time and ensured airtight consistency that, down the track, can enhance patient care via the latter’s customers, from personal physicians to large national laboratories, research institutions and academic centres. Economic pressures must be taken into account alongside rising customer expectations.
This means that results and consolidated information must not only be highly accurate, but be delivered faster.
“For example, Roche’s customers expect immediate confirmation and real-time updates of order status, and full transparency of their order,” says Ghrist.
